Volcanic Hazards
The MVO’s Hazard Map Series aims to improve engagement with decision-makers and the local community by providing separate products that focus on specific aspects of the volcanic hazard. It is also an strategy to more effectively illustrate the temporal changes occurring at Soufrière Hills Volcano.

Understanding Risk
This approach primarily focuses on capturing the island’s landscape prior to the onset of the Soufrière Hills Volcano eruption in 1995. Additionally, we have developed geographic layers to understand current mitigation measures supporting economic development discussions in the southern region of Montserrat.
