MVO Welcomes New Finance Officer, Mrs. Tazia Darroux
he Montserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO) is pleased to welcome Mrs. Tazia Darroux to the team as its new Finance Officer.
Mrs. Darroux holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and brings more than 10 years of professional experience in administration and accounting to her new role.
As Finance Officer, Mrs. Darroux will contribute to the financial and administrative operations that support the day-to-day work of the Observatory. Her experience will provide valuable support to the organisation and to the scientists and staff who carry out MVO’s monitoring, research, education and outreach activities.
The Finance Officer plays an important role in ensuring that the financial processes and resources of the Observatory are effectively managed in support of its responsibilities to monitor the Soufrière Hills Volcano and provide information and advice on volcanic activity and hazards.
MVO is pleased to have Mrs. Darroux join the team and looks forward to the knowledge, experience and perspective she brings to the organisation.
