The Montserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO) recently had the honor of participating in the MNI Department of Community, Youth & Sports Services (DCYSS) Career Fair 2023, where they made an indelible mark by showcasing the fascinating world of volcano monitoring and research.
A stellar team of experts from MVO, including Dr. Thomas Christopher – Volcanologist, Arvid Ramdeane – Software Engineer, Thiffanie Williams – Education & Outreach Coordinator, and the Intern, Roneike Duncan, collaborated to illuminate the diverse career opportunities within the MVO. Their booth featured a captivating display of cutting-edge equipment used for monitoring volcanic activity, spanning across past, present, and future technologies.
Dr. Christopher, shared his profound knowledge and extensive experience in the realm of volcanic activity and the crucial role of Volcanologists in monitoring and understanding these natural wonders.
