Montserrat Volcano Observatory Creative Competition 2020 Winners

Montserrat Volcano Observatory teamed-up with Alliouagana Festival of the Word to launch a creative competition with Montserrat Residents.

This year the theme was “unrest in Montserrat” and Montserrat residents were asked to submit either a poem, song, newspaper article or poster which covered how the Soufriere Hill Volcanic eruption caused or increased distresses and vulnerabilities within the community.

In total we received 107 entries and a special thanks to the Montserrat primary schools who submitted a huge amount of entries at a very high standard.
