Activity at the Soufrière Hills Volcano is at a low level.

The seismic network recorded seven rockfalls and four volcano-tectonic (VT) events.

The average sulphur dioxide measurement this week was 295 tons per day with a maximum of 455 and a minimum of 180 tons per day.

Due to low cloud were no clear views of the lava dome this week.

A small lahar occurred on the western side of the volcano in the early hours of 1 July.

Despite the low level of activity, sporadic pyroclastic flows will continue to occur without any warning. The Hazard Level is 3. There is no access to the terrestrial Zone C and only daytime transit access to shipping through the maritime extension of the zone.
