This year, MVO’s poetry competition for all Primary and Secondary School students on Montserrat, themed “Volcano in my Backyard” had 140 entries. The judging panel was very impressed at the high quality of the entries- of the thoughtfulness, effort, spirit, and humor that composed them. Below are the winning entries which were presented on 12 November 2011 at the Alliouagana Festival of the Word.

A book containing all the poetry entries was presented to Montserrat Public Library and will be available there for browsing.
