There were good viewing conditions during our observation flight on 20 November 2012. We were able to get very clear views of the southern flank of the dome but not, alas, of the summit. Photos can be seen on our Flickr pages.

MVO's report (OFR-11-02) prepared for the sixteenth meeting of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC 16) is now available for the public to download here.

It was developed for SAC members in preparation for the SAC 16 meeting. The report summarizes all volcanic activity from the period of 1 May to 31 October 2011, including monitoring and visual observations. In addition to scientific information, it also includes information about MVO's monitoring networks and operations.
